Orange Tulip Scholarship

Overview

A merit-based scholarship for international students (historically focused on countries like India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and others) to study at Dutch universities. Note: the centralized cross-university programme ended in 2024; several Dutch universities now continue their own OTS-branded scholarships independently.

Funding

Partial to full tuition fee coverage (commonly 25%, 50%, or 100% depending on the sponsoring institution)

Eligibility

• Typically restricted to citizens of specific partner countries (e.g., historically India, Indonesia, Vietnam)
• Must be admitted or in the process of applying to a participating Dutch institution
• Not currently residing, working, or studying in the Netherlands

Application Deadline

Now set individually by each participating university, generally between January and April Always confirm exact dates on the official site before planning your application, since deadlines shift year to year.

How to Apply

1. Check whether your nationality and chosen Dutch university still offer an OTS-branded scholarship
2. Apply for admission to the relevant programme first
3. Contact that university's international office for their specific OTS application steps
4. Submit transcripts, motivation letter, and other requested documents by their internal deadline
5. Await the university's decision, separate from general admission
