Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships (GOI-IES)

Overview

Funded by the Irish government and managed by the Higher Education Authority in partnership with Irish universities, this scholarship supports 60 high-achieving international students each year. It provides a €10,000 stipend plus a full tuition fee waiver from the host institution for one year of master's, postgraduate diploma, or PhD study.

Eligibility

• Domiciled outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the UK

• Have not previously held a GOI-IES award
• Apply through the official online portal by the annual March deadline

How to Apply

1. Secure a conditional or final offer of admission to an Irish higher education institution at NFQ level 9 or 10
2. Register on the GOI-IES online application portal
3. Complete the application form and upload proof of your offer of admission
4. Arrange for two references to be uploaded directly by referees via the portal
5. Submit well before the deadline to avoid server congestion, and await results
