Overview

Canada's premier doctoral scholarship, awarded to Canadian and international students pursuing PhD studies who demonstrate leadership and a high standard of scholarly achievement across health, natural sciences/engineering, and social sciences/humanities.

Funding

CAD $50,000 per year for three years

Eligibility

• Must be nominated by a Canadian institution holding a Vanier quota (no direct applications accepted)
• Pursuing a full-time doctoral degree (or eligible combined degree) in Canada
• Demonstrated academic excellence, research potential, and leadership

How to Apply

1. Gain admission to a doctoral program at a Vanier-eligible Canadian institution

4. Await the national interdisciplinary selection committee's decision
