GCUB International Mobility Program (GCUB-Mob)

Overview

GCUB-Mob is run by the Group of Brazilian Universities' International Cooperation network (GCUB), offering hundreds of fully funded Master's and PhD scholarships each year across dozens of Brazilian universities. It's open to applicants of any nationality (except Brazilian citizens), with no application fee and no requirement to pre-arrange contact with a Brazilian professor before applying.

Funding

Exemption from tuition/academic fees at the host Brazilian university, plus a monthly stipend paid by the host institution; no application fee

Eligibility

• Open to all nationalities except Brazilian citizens
• For Master's or Doctoral study at a participating Brazilian university
• Relevant Bachelor's (for Master's) or Master's degree (for PhD) required
• Application accepted in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish
• Apply free of charge through the official GCUB online portal during the annual call window

Application Deadline

Applications typically open in May and close in early July each cycle (a recent cycle opened 25 May and closed 6 July). Always confirm exact dates on the official site before planning your application, since deadlines shift year to year.

How to Apply

1. Create an account on the GCUB-Mob application portal (mob.gcub.org.br)
2. Browse the list of participating Brazilian universities and available Master's/PhD programmes
3. Select up to five programme choices and complete the online application
4. Upload transcripts, degree certificates, CV, and any required research proposal or language certificates
5. Submit before the deadline and monitor the portal for selection results from participating institutions
