Chevening is the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funding one-year master’s degrees at any UK university for future leaders from around the world, including a dedicated allocation for Pakistani applicants.

What Is the Chevening Scholarship?

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders to pursue a one-year master’s degree at any UK university. The programme is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations.

What It Covers

  • Full tuition fees for a one-year master’s programme
  • Monthly living allowance
  • Return economy airfare to the UK
  • An arrival allowance and additional grants for research or thesis costs

Who Can Apply

  • Citizen of a Chevening-eligible country (Pakistan is eligible)
  • At least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours)
  • A completed undergraduate degree that enables entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university
  • No current or previous Chevening Scholarship or Fellowship award

  2. Research and shortlist eligible UK master’s courses
  3. Complete the application form, including four essay questions
  4. Submit before the deadline, as late applications are not accepted
